Dr. Ashley Gaston was born and raised in Alpharetta, GA as one of three triplet sisters. Dr. Ashley attended Appalachian State University on a Division-I softball scholarship with her triplet sister Brittany, graduating with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology and Biology. With her inspiration and support from her father (Dr. Joe Gaston) and brother (Dr. Ryan Gaston), She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University located on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Texas A&M University.
Her professional interests are orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Ashley's surgical expertise at both clinics is the Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), an orthopedic procedure that is considered to be the gold standard treatment for cranial cruciate ligamental disease or injury, is the most common orthopedic injury in dogs.
In her spare time, she enjoys music, playing the drums, cooking, going outdoors, playing sports, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling. Dr. Ashley has 3 dogs (Reggie, Bruce and Bella) and 1 cat (Baby cat).
